I have contacted the local courts in regards to the MIP (alcohol) I have had in the past and they said it was dismissed. However I am still interested from independent sources, if they had any kind of legal problem, official complain, etc before, or scammed other people.
What other sources can I check beside simple Google search? Is there governmental directories about businesses with fraudulent behavior or other complains etc?

I am a US Citizen and my wife is an MD/PhD Scientist who has been in the USA for 9 years. We married in Dec 2005, and filed for her Green Card in February 2006 and had our interview in June 2006, when we were told the FBI hasn’t completed their background check yet and it could take several months to several years. I heard that Chinese Scientist are having to sue the Federal Government to get action and it seems to work. I was told by my senator’s office (Maria Cantwell’s Office) to wait six months before suing. They were the ones that told me that law suits seem to get some action in getting the background check done.

I worked for this company for 8 months and going to grad school. They fired me 3 months before I graduated. I ommited this job from my resume to make it look like I have been just studying full time. Will a serious compamy that does a detailed background check find out that I worked there even if the job is not listed on my resume? (the job matches my degree).

I had met these people a long time ago, and they asked me to stay at my house for a month since they were relocating for the third time…the wife confided in a friend of ours that her husband had a warrant in the state on MN, (we live in NC) for embezzeling funds from an insurance company, but when he applied for a security job, he got it. Supposedly, the security agency did a background check on him and cleared him…that’s how he got the job because in this state he has no warrants. Are databases of the police department in all states linked? Is it possible for someone with a warrant move around and not be caught? I am afraid because I was housing a criminal without knowing! They are gone from my house now, I had to ask them to leave…but they had no intentions to go though. She said that it was illegal for me to throw them out, if she had taken an order of protection against me, I would have had to leave my own house!I told her that me and my 45 wanted her out and now she is out!
